So the family and I are taking a week-long vacay! Yes, I’m going to be THAT woman, flying with four small children. Sigh. So if I’m slow answering comments or e-mails or tweets this week, that’s why! But I’ve got some great (all new!) posts scheduled and I’ll be blogging a bit from the road so please keep reading!
In the meantime, here’s some video we shot of the Gym Buddies and I warming up for the Rippetoe standard one-rep max challenge (which we’ll be doing for real shortly). Read about our last results. And here’s the blooper reel, enjoy!
We actually had a man come up to us in the middle of this comedy of errors to tell us “You guys are crazy.” To which all I could reply, with tears in my eyes from laughing so hard was, “Yes sir, we are.”
Edited to add: Be warned, our form is awful, we don’t have full range of motion, we drop weight plates on the floor, we forgot the collars… pretty much every weight lifting mistake you can think of, we’re doing it in this video. Don’t worry we didn’t “count” any of those lifts, we were just messing around! But thank you all for your concern about injury etc. We will certainly be more careful next time!
