Having problems loading my site? Try Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer

Quick note: since I switched to my new site there have always been a few people who have had problems with my site being slow to load or the comment section being possessed by demons. Neither me nor my web guy have been able to figure out why but Dr. J and Jody both recently informed me that their problems were resolved when they switched from using Internet Explorer as their browser to using Google Chrome. Which honestly might be a good decision regardless of my website. It’s generally faster all around, more secure and has better privacy options than other browsers. And it got 5 stars from CNET.com. Anyhow, not trying to plug Google or whatever but thought this might help some of you!

  1. Speaking as a marketing professional who works at a digital marketing and web design company, it’s best to avoid IE altogether (especially anything earlier than version 7). 🙂 Every site looks better when it’s not in IE.

  2. Longtime lurker here – I use Mozilla Firefox and have never had any problems with this site. Its free like Chrome, just throwing it out there as another option.

  3. Looks good in Firefox, Charlotte. One suggestion as a WordPress geek – instead of using the DB caching in W3 Total Cache, have you tried DB Cache Reloaded Fix? It seemed to speed up my site significantly when I installed it (I also use W3TC for page caching and minifying).

  4. I love Chrome!

  5. So smooth now! 🙂 No choppiness at all!

  6. I view it with both Chrome and Firefox (depending on whether at home or work) and haven’t had any problems with either.

  7. I was really surprised when I was looking over my StatCounter report the other day and saw that almost 25% of my readers are still using Internet Explorer. Seriously? The 90’s are gone, and good riddance!
