We may look like we’re sitting on a nice, comfy bench but we’re actually doing a wall sit! And smiling! That’s what honing my quads with FitnessGlo has done for me!
FitnessGloΒ is an online company that specializes in delivering all your favorite group fit-style classes in a professional, portable package so you can do them on the road or in the privacy of your own home but still have the benefit of experts. They offer a wide range of workouts including short 10-minute core videos, 30 minute step classes and hour long interval classes. You can just do one or combine several to make a more varied workout. My fave was the 45-minute, level 3 Barre class with Alex McLean. I’ve long loved the Barre format but since my old gym didn’t have it, I haven’t gotten to do it very much so this felt like a great workout and a fun treat! Plus Alex was as entertaining as he was instructive!
Each workout is categorized by time, type and difficulty (or sweat factor) so you can get exactly what you need. Plus all the vids are created by experts and professionally recorded so none of that grainy YouTube nonsense! And I especially love that the site was created by women for other women to help us fit in our workouts around our busy schedules. While I normally don’t do a ton of video workouts it just so happened that this came along at exactly the right time and filled a need I hadn’t anticipated having!

Pingback:How Do You Exercise On The Go? [FitnessGlo Giveaway!]
I love to dance for exercise. Usually practicing a choreography at home.
If I can’t workout in the gym, then I head to my basement for an On Demand workout. However, you’ve inspired me to be more creative in my choice of locations!
I workout at home while the baby is sleeping π
I live right by a park; it’d be awesome to exercise there!
I like to work out at my kids’ soccer practice. I can walk/run the field and feel like the queen of multi-tasking.
I do a lot of yoga in my living room. Someday I’m going to have a dedicated yoga space in my house. The cats love it though.
I love to exercise at parks, playgrounds, at work (don’t laugh Charlotte, it’s a workout pushing four kids in a stroller with a baby in a Bjorn…….I have done squats with that on also!)
Currently, our tiny third bedroom when I can find room between the boxes of leftover wedding stuff. Hopefully soon, the awesome finished basement of the amazing house we’ll find.
I’m a college student and a nanny. I love working out while nannying. I take the babe for a run in the stroller or run around with the older ones at the park.
I work out at home or run on the roads for all of my workouts! FitnessGlo sounds perfect for people in my situation.
I love going outside for some exercise when I can – a nice run in the park with some pushups, dips, and step ups on a picnic table is my ideal!
You are the master of exercising anywhere, clearly!
I’ve done the road trip gas station parking lot workout before. Jump lunges next to the car definitely get some looks, but I’d rather get looks and be awake for the drive!
I do some of my workouts in a small area of my bedroom, because it’s too much of a pain to drag equipment into the living room. We live in a small apartment, and the fitness center is rather meh.
I miss living near a playground. I used to run, and stop at a playground for push ups, pull up attempts, box jumps, etc.
I like to run outdoors and take aerial silks camping with us to hang from trees.
I like to exercise in my living room or go for a walk/run around the neighborhood.
I am a medical resident and have even worked out in the call room!
Since having a baby I mostly do workout videos at home lately it’s been benderfitness or fitnessista ones.
I workout at home a lot, mostly exercise DVDs. This would be great!
I travel frequently for work….a travel yoga mat in a hotel room is my go to. Would love to switch it up with their workouts!
My dorm room/common area!
I run all around my town. Otherwise, I prefer to workout in my living room.
Video and videogame workouts are my saving grace at home!!!
I like fitting in a workout while the kids are at the park, or a Netflix exercise video if there is ever a big enough toy-free space in the tv room.
Two of my favourite workouts I do outdoors – stair running and most recently, hill sprinting. Most people seem to know what stair running is, but one elderly lady, I guess not realizing I was on my eighth sprint up 72 steps, told me I should walk up and down the stairs every day so I wouldn’t get so breathless. The best part is I’ve turned the steps down to the beach into my gym, and I get to bring my dog along.
I recently learned about hill sprinting and while I love it, I’ve noticed it attracts strange men who sit on a bench at the top of the hill and make comments while I am dying at the top. The best so far has been an offer to give me CPR. They’re starting to creep me out, though. Anybody have a good retort for me?
If it’s not at the gym, I enjoy going to the park for a run or working out in my basement!
I generally exercise at home in my living room or bedroom doing online videos but I love to exercise outdoors at the park or in the woods. My daughter loves to climb trees at the park and I love to join her . I feel like I’m 7 again.
Sounds like a great way to get a wonderful workout in!
since i have to do all my work outs at home due to not being able to afford a gym membership i rely a lot of HIIT and Tabata work outs to keep things interesting!! I seriously have work out ADD so i need something that constantly changes! haha. i have heard amazing things about Fitness Glo and think this would be awesome for me since i do all my work outs at home!!
I use my backyard with my gymboss timer for tabata workouts. I use my old water hose for rope training, my husband’s leftover pcp pipes to mark ladder strides for high knee jumps and squats. I also mostly do body weight exercises like planks, squats, lunges, jumping jacks, crunches, leg lifts, etc. Would love to tryout Fitness Glo for more workouts!
I love going for walks along the local trails.
I love biking, swimming, hiking and just being active!!
I love going for a run but that could just be because its my only peace and quiet all day.
My favorite is waking up early for sunrise yoga outside.
Heading to the dog park to chase the pups around . . . they are elk hounds, and I do believe they laugh at me when I take off for a jog. . .
I like walking outside especially with friends or family.
If I don’t make it into they gym I work out in my “home gym” (aka my living room) or run around outside with my pup!
I work out in my little home dance studio–it’s not much, but it serves its purpose!
I’ve tried yogaglo, and loved it, except that I didn’t want to ONLY do yoga. I had no idea there was another, what I assume is a related site with a broader base of videos. Thanks for the heads up! Oh, and I’ve been buying a few Jillian Michaels videos that I can just download and do in my home–great stuff, but I’m sure I will want more variety soon.
I like to workout at the local YMCA
I’d love to work out on a beach… no beaches in Kansas, though!
I like to workout at home, because I can wear anything I like and not have to worry!
I love to work out on the bike path that is practically outside my front door. While I am busy trying to remember to breathe, its pretty easy to ignore the stares I get when I stop and do push-ups and squats whenever the path crosses a street.
I like my basement’s family room, it’s cool in the summer, cozy in the winter as well as private, free and available 24/7. My colorful line up of kettlebells under the fireplace and a yoga mat await me whenever I enter the room they call out to me …”come use us and get your butt moving right now”! Being online is their biggest competition….gotta go they are calling.
Anywhere outdoors, but mostly my basement – hubby built a climbing wall π
I actually work out a lot at home! And it’s a super right space, but I really love blogilates, fitness blender, and yogadownload. Or even just searching on you tube I’ve had a lot if luck with good yoga videos!
Is this the same company as yogaglo? I was actually planning on trying out yogaglo, for more variety. How’s the video quality? I didn’t realize that this existed!
Oops, and I didn’t answer the question! I’ve been using yogadownload, but I also love blogilates and other youtube channels for videos! And also running when I’m traveling! π
