To any of you who are or ever have been offended by my “funny” pics that I post on this blog. Sometimes I let my sense of humor impede my good sense. Crabby wrote an excellent post today on being easily embarrassed and whether or not she meant to call me out, I really saw myself in what she wrote.
I forget that not everyone is as much of an exhibitionist as I am. I am not proud of my insensitivity and will try much harder in the future to rein it it. I do hope that you guys will let me know too if I’ve crossed a line. Seriously, please e-mail me or post a comment or something. It won’t hurt my feelings and I’ll be grateful for the heads-up. I never mean to hurt anyone but sometimes it does happen and I deeply regret that.
I pulled the pic from my post yesterday and promise to be much more conscientious in the future!
Thanks for sticking with me:)
Charlotte
Charlotte – I’ve only recently started reading your blog (late to the party, as is always fashionable!), and have yet to see anything I would construe as being what Crabby meant…. *note to self: search Charlotte’s archives for embarrassing photos/videos*, so I’m thinking you don’t need to worry.
But if Crabby’s post today made all of us a little more sensitive toward other individuals, then she has done a wonderful thing! This world can always use a little more kindness! (sheesh, don’t go getting all mushy and teary-eyed…the Bag Lady loves a good laugh as much as the next gal!)
Oh my goodness I did NOT mean you, Charlotte!!!
I really was horrified to see that runner photo popping up all over the place, and so that’s what I was posting about.
Flashdance guy? I may be remembering wrong, but I thought that was a funny photo of someone posing for the camera TRYING to look camp and amusing and get some attention. TOTALLY different thing.
Acckkk!!! I’m so sorry if you thought the post had anything to do with you ’cause it didn’t! Your humor tends to involve making fun of yourself, which is much more amusing than any other kind.
I think the picture is funny…how about the little guy? Was he okay with the outfit? 🙂
Charlotte,
I often find your pix very funny! I haven’t been offended by them, and I quite enjoy seeing what photo you’re going to put with your daily post, so please keep it up (and I’m one of the ones who commented on Crabby’s post about not liking the humiliation movies and such, and I have no problem with your photos).
No problems here silly girl! You’re doing a great job and I love all your funny pictures!
that is it. I’m THROUGH with this blog. Do you hear me? FINITO! You will not see me here again.
Until maybe tomrrow.
I’ve never been offended by anything you post either!
Most of the pics you post seem to be staged or people proud of being so goofy. Not things people would do if they were afraid of looking dorky!
I was going to comment last week on how much I appreciate your pictures (re:the weightlifter). They’re funny, they’re real, they poke fun at how ridiculous our endeavors can sometimes look (but we still know that we’re better off pursuing them anyway). Please don’t change, I think that if we all decided to take ourselves a lot less seriously we’d have way more fun.
I say this as someone who loves competing in many forms of athletics despite my complete lack of coordination – if a picture shows up of me biting it while running down a hillside; or flipping over my bike because I dropped, then ran over my “healthier” aluminum water bottle (ruined the first time I used it)- I just want you to know that I’ll be the first one laughing. If we’re so sensitive about silly situations, how are we going to handle something serious?
Thanks for giving me something to think about.

I can’t sleep at night because I’m afraid someone will laugh at me — and now with the internet, it might happen and I won’t even know about it. Before the internet I could count on the behind-my-back snickering catching up with me, and then I could properly off myself. Now it could be distant anonymous strangers I will never even know about laughing at me. I won’t even know that I should be hurt, much less that I need to end my life. This not knowing must be the greatest cruelty of all.
Never been offended by your pics. I’m always amused by them and impressed at your finding such creative photos.
Nah, no offense here Charlotte. Flashdance guy seemed like he intentionally dressed up, yes?
Funny girl I love all your stuff-pictures included. You find some of the most creative and goofy photos that just make me giggle. So don’t stop. I need them for my abs!!!
I’m not offended by your pics…
except for the rabbit. That one haunts me in my sleep.
I LOVE the pictures you post, even that whacked out rabbit! Please, keep finding them for us. They are the highlight of my day.
seriously.
I don’t get out much.
Don’t ruin it for me, ok? 🙂
Post the pics! 🙂
Charlotte!
I don’t think you needed to apologize for anything, but it was a very classy thing to do anyway!
I always look forward to seeing what you are writing about.
Dr. J
Please don’t rein it in!
I do a regular trawl round the fitness/diet/food madness blogs regularly, and honest to god YOUR pictures make me laugh out loud just about every day. It’s what Amy said, and more, we take all this stuff so seriously sometimes, it’s such a relief to step back and laugh at the crazy things we do.
You may not realise it, but you are giving a valuable service!

I LOVE the pix! I have NEVER found anything offensive here, just so’s ya know!
Charlotte…..Dude,
It’s YOUR blog! YOUR stories and opinions, YOUR talented writing, YOUR awesome sense of humor. Please don’t reign anything in! Just be YOU and show the naysayers the door! Seriously.
And btw, YOU rock!!!!!!
totally missed thoe boat on this one, but have NEVER been offended by ANY of the pics you’ve posted. I think I know which one you’re referring to, but I never got the impression it was posted in bad taste. 🙂
